When congregations are faithful to the example and mandate of Christ, they are by definition communities of health and healing.
The Health and Wellness Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen seeks to facilitate the education of our congregation and community on important issues and topics related to living fuller, well-balanced, spiritually and physically healthful lives.
We are committed to helping the congregation have access to information on how to best care for themselves, each other, and those within our community. In this way, we honor the God-given gifts of our mind, body, and spirit.
We do this by coordinating/hosting various health and wellness related educational events such as seminars and health fairs, and by making available printed materials with useful information on how to identify and manage various physical and mental ailments, and the resources to help.
If you are part of the healthcare community, exercise or nutrition specialty, mental health profession, or you are simply interested in promoting the health and wholeness of others, we welcome you to be part of our ministry! Please contact the church office at (732) 491-2300 to get in touch with the committee facilitator.
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” (3 John 1:2 NIV)
