Our Vision
The First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen is to be a community of worship in which people from many different cultural backgrounds and perspectives worship God. Through Jesus Christ we commit to sharing our lives with others as we grow in faith, in fellowship, and witness through word and deed.
We will always explore new ways to expand worship opportunities in order to attract people to share in the discipleship of the Lord and enhance the worship of God. Our congregation will find ways to meet the needs of the community that we have not met, such as programs focused on recreational fellowship and family needs.
Our children and families are dear to our hearts. We will always welcome the whole family in our worship and celebration. We value our youth and the programs we provide for them and will continue to be energized and inspired by them.
Music will continue to be an essential part of expressing our gratitude and love for Jesus Christ. We have come to know and love the traditional style. As the church continues to grow and become more diverse in many ways, we will always explore varieties of musical expression to complement our foundation in the classical Christian style.
Our congregation will seek to be more responsive to the needs of our members and the community. We will always find ways to invite more people to join our congregation, regardless of where they are in their faith journey. As our surrounding community continues to grow, we will always seek opportunities to expand the ministries of our church.
We will do all these things to witness Gods gifts in our lives and to celebrate the life and example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us for worship or any of our other activities.
