On Wednesday at the Great Bible Reef, we learned to BELIEVE in miracles when Jesus healed a man who was born blind. For access to the full photo gallery, call the church office or, if you’re a VBS family, check your email for the password, or pick up a flyer in the lobby.

We had some special fun during our wake-me-up-and-get-me-moving dance when three of our little fish arrived at camp wearing the same scale-clad tank tops that our teens were wearing. They joined in leading the dance and seemed to have a blast rejoicing and sharing their love of Jesus with the rest of us.

Mr. Starfish showed up convinced that his acting career would be ruined because of a teensy little costume issue. In the end, though, he realized that everybody has SOME challenges they learn to live with.

Meanwhile, the B Attitudes shared that the Bible always shows us the right thing to do when we’re in a sticky situation. They quoted one of Jesus’ beatitudes to help us understand:

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst to do the right thing, for they shall be filled.”

Jelly didn’t quite understand, so Barracuda explained this beatitude by putting it into a context we can relate to: Choose to do the right thing. And if you aren’t sure what is right, ask someone you trust! We also learned a Bible verse today. It’s from John chapter 11, verse 27:

“I believe that you are Christ, the Son of God!”

In Bible Story time, Pastor Sam played the role of the blind man who was healed, and he sometimes answered deep questions about miracles.

Remember that on Friday, we are having our closing celebration starting at 9 a.m. We are excited to share Mr. Starfish’s adventures with Madre and Mango, which have left Jelly all alone to lead the Talent Show. Will she take Madre’s advice and SHINE?
